Quite a korny picture but this is Wyatt on his 13th birthday. He got a lawn gnome, which he has wanted for years??? and a cell phone. Lucky kid! It was a rough weekend for us, because he has been a moody moody boy for the last few weeks. But we made it through it and now have a full fledged teenager. Anyone with teenagers please let me know, does the moodiness get worse, better, what am I to expect here???

LOL, you are in uncharted territory, my friend! I got nothin' for ya! Good luck. I do hear that teen boys are easier than teen girls. (Thank heavens) and I know I've said this a bazillion times, but he is SO your spitten image!!
Congratulations on your teen! Can't wait to compare notes. You have to start reading "zits" comic - slade's been reading them for a while and we finally picked one up and felt like it could possibly give a little look into their world. He came home on sunday and said, "i just got 4 more zits" and I asked "where?" but he was talking about getting 4 more comic books from the library!
I find Jack is much more moodier than Slade has ever been. Slade's like me - slap happy and on all the time. He has his moments (when he doesn't get his way) but they are short lived and he is pretty quick to rationalize and feel good about things. I'm liking him these days!
I'm just glad you have joined the ranks. What a roller coaster ride it is. But my 13 year old did give me a hug this morning and tell me she was sorry she hasn't been very nice for the last week. It is possible, it's just living with them in the in between time.
