Well we had a great Thanksgiving too. And I have been busy busy ever since. We came home from Moms on Friday, and I started prepping my living room for painting. And 48+ hours later its a festive red. I love it. We still are going to put some trim at the top. But I think it's great. Mom decided Thanksgiving day was a good day to go chop a Christmas tree down, so we went in search of the perfect tree. I don't think there is such a thing, but we got a tree for her and a tree for us anyway. So we have a tree ready for the decorating in our dining room. I am trying to get excited for Christmas, of course I look forward to seeing big sis, but I am not feeling very festive yet. Its always such a whirlwind. Then January and February it snows and snows, and they seem to last forever. I know the holiday spirit will kick in soon. The kids did get there letters mailed to Santa, and my shopping is done so I can focus on the fun stuff and not worry about fighting the store lines.

Glad you had a nice day too. I can relate with the "not feeling festive yet" I never really do till all is said and done. We can't have a real tree here so that is something that we need to be creative on. Jack was just telling me how excited he was and he can't wait anylonger! Also, he said he needs to get a letter out to Santa. I'm thinking, "are you for real?" He really still believes or he's pulling my leg! But listening to him, I can see why it's really all for the kids!

Not in the festive mood yet here, either! I think that for me it was/is because it barely started cooling off. We were still in the mid 80s last week, and seated through Thanksgiving. If you can't even get the sweaters out then its still too warm to be the Christmas season.
I wish I had my shopping all done :(. I still have to figure out what to get Will, and his side. I dislike shopping for them, as they have lost of $ and buy what they want when they want it...
Oh well, I am starting to feel more festive- even got out the Christmas socks! WHOO HOO!!!

I found out a great way to get letters postmarked from the north pole, so I bought myself another year with Wyatt, or he's totally a good actor. I bought a big huge costco poinsetta today, now its Christmas, ha ha.

I looked at those poinsettas! Beautuful! LOL
We started a new tradition for the santa letters.
On Thanksgiving eve (LOL) the letter gets left on the table and santa's elf comes to get it leaving a Christmas movie. This works as that week is when new Christmas movies are released! SO we got Polar Express this year. Then Rhayn "knows" that Santa recieved her letter!
