Yard Sale!

For a year or more we've been packing things into our sunroom for a yard sale. We had accumulated quite a bit. The sunroom was bursting with tables, chairs, shelves, baby stuff, clothes, and misc. Trash. So Saturday we had a huge yardsale, in hopes to make the big bucks. Well we did come away with enouph to purchase a new book shelf, and a filing cabinet which we were in the need of both very badly. The down side of all of this was if there is a down side, was saying a final good bye to the baby things that will never enter my house again. Goodbye swing that gently lulled my crabby baby, goodbye snuggly that kept my sweet babies close to me, goodbye bouncy seat that occupied my babies nearby while I was cooking dinner nearby. Goodbye Johnny Jumper that entertained babies as well as me, goodbye crib that babies never slept in, but I ritually set up just in case. Kind of sad, scratch that, very sad. Days gone by.
It was a very sucessful yard sale though, Most of my things found new owners, and my sunroom is now mostly cleared of junk.

Sad times for you, true. But happy times for these items which will now be making even more happy memories for others.. Better to have that, than to have these precious items end up in a land fill somewhere...
